i thought last weeks class was another interesting class.  the speaker was good i did learn a lot but i did not agree or understand how different cultures can be.  the different standers that they have from us.  I still do think it was good to hear and learn about how others live though.

family tree

Im doing the family on my moms side and her last name is Hollom. That side of my family is from norway. They came over in 1880 and I dont know why. They spoke english and norwegian. The challenges they had were homested and they lost 2 kids. They were working class and vary hard workers. That was one of the values that they past on and to this day my family still has that values. Also they pasted doen to other values that got past down witch where honesty and loyalty. And thats all I really now about my family

First thing is i thought the speaker did vary well telling us about the UK.   It was interesting learning about how their government and  how differnt it is from ours.  Also learning about the different holidays.  Like how at weddings they make a certin bread.  Also its mainly only family at weddings.  Another thing that i thought was cool was how weddings last 3days or more.

 the first movie was good but the second one didnt really get my attention so i really dont have much to say on that one.  I did however have strong options on the first one how they put that little girl in a lower class because she didnt know how to speak English vary well when they didnt even see what she could do.  i guess i have strong feelings on that because i was treated the same in a way but not because of my race but because of my disability.

So i am enjoying this class i hope to learn alot

My goals for this class is to better understand different people from different cultures. How to understand how they talk and why they act the way they do. really enjoyed the movie it made me think. Not only about how people can miss understand people from different backgrounds. There are so many ways to miss understand people and I think the movie shows this. It also shows how important it is to talk it out if there is a miss understanding. Witch leads me to the next thing I want to get out of the class is how to talk to someone with having less miss understandings. For me I personally know how it feels to be miss understood not because of my background but because I have a disability that affects my speech. So I personally know how it feels to be miss understood. So I hope this class will help with both of theses things and it seems like it will be a fun class.
